Life at Parkville Care Centre
Life at Parkville Care Centre is centred around comfort, choice and meaningful daily routines.
The home is registered for 92 residents and is arranged across separate units, each with its own welcoming spaces and garden areas. There are also two secure, dementia-friendly gardens attached to the home, giving residents safe opportunities to enjoy fresh air, time outdoors and peaceful surroundings.
Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and includes en-suite facilities and a call bell system. Residents are also encouraged to bring personal belongings, photographs and furnishings where they wish, helping them make their room feel familiar and their own.
Mealtimes are an important part of life at Parkville. Two dedicated catering teams provide homemade meals and snacks throughout the day, with menus designed to be nutritious, balanced and tailored to residents’ dietary needs. Food and drink are available 24 hours a day, offering flexibility and reassurance for residents, particularly those living within dementia care communities.
Residents are supported to enjoy a varied activities programme shaped around their hobbies, interests and abilities. Parkville works alongside Oomph to provide meaningful activities and supported outings, helping residents stay active, engaged and connected to the wider community.
For residents living with dementia, the home also offers specialist sensory and wellbeing experiences, including a Tovertafel magic table, mobile sensory equipment and spa-style bathing facilities.
